Solar Energy solutions
Energy: Photovoltaic (PV) technologies convert the sun’s energy into electricity. Off grid PV systems store energy in batteries for later use, while grid-tie PV systems utilize the utility grid for storage of energy. Grid-tie PV systems with battery backup allow for the convenience and financial benefits of a grid-tie system and the peace of mind that your solar array will still provide electricity for your home during a grid power outage. Solar Energy Solutions offers all of these photovoltaic options for the industry and home. Systems are available to meet any need or specification, from 1% of your energy usage to 100%.
Water heating: CONDUC's Solar hot water systems can substantially reduce the energy costs of commercial processes that use hot water. Cost effective systems can be designed for most applications that require heat. Uses include commercial cleaning processes, evaporators, heat exchange, public swimming pools, hospitals and more. The current tax incentives for use of renewable energy make solar hot water an excellent investment for your business with quick system payback.
Lightning: CONDUC’s solar powered street lighting systems are an efficient means to provide lighting without the need for standard utility power. Every system provides cost savings by eliminating the need to trench standard electric wires for installation and providing no electric bill for the life of the system. Solar street lights have been installed on highways, freeways, neighborhood streets, rural roads, etc. and provide security, sustainability and an overall green image.
Corrosion Mitigation
Cathodic protection is a method which reliably protects the metal even at undetected coating holidays. The protective current supplies electrons to the structure which is protected. These electrons cover the electron requirements for the reduction of oxygen which comes into contact with the metal surface. Without cathodic protection, these electrons provide the decomposition of the metal. Thus, the potential of the metal surface is sufficiently reduced to prevent the disassociation of positive ions from the metal. Where formerly an anodic reaction took place, the oxygen is reduced by cathodic reaction. The entire surface of the structure protected is thus transformed into a safe cathode, i.e. the metal is " cathodically " protected.
